Default 5.0 ignition coil testing

Hi guys,

Is there a way to test the ignition coils on the 5.0? A simple resistance check across the pins?
If anyone has the proper procedure can you please post it, looked everywhere but nothing specific to the 5.0, just generic testing!
Thank in advance

Chances that every coil is bad is almost impossible. Test ALL of them, see if one or more is much different than the rest of them.

Couldn't you use a code reader for missed ignition by cylinder then swap coils to see if it moved? I don't know of a test for individual coil on plugs though. As Cee Jay indicated, it is highly unlikely all coils could be bad at one time.

There are COP testers... and to my mind they work well.

Just testing ohms is almost useless unless you get very lucky.
