Last few days it's been above 90 with bright sun, I wait 7 months of winter to enjoy top down weather. To tolerate the heat and sun and my black leather interior I run AC blowing in me, works pretty good. Anyone else that dedicated to keeping their top down in those temps ?
Every day, dude. Wife and I just got back from a nice ride to Kohl's that ended up being about two hours, just driving around. The temp today was 92 and full sun, so a normal day in and around Kaysville Utah. This was the first time with the Wind Screen in place, and it certainly did the job! The interior wind with the windows up and screen up was very near zero. Great Addition to any convertible!
I am the exact opposite, this is the 7 months that we rarely put the top down. Not unless I want to take a shower after every car ride! I enjoy my soothing AC and tinted windows with the top up.
If I lived in areas with extended cold months I would probably be the same as you guys.
i am that dedicated, but not with the XK, which is a coupe -- with the old beater saab! the interior is half-stripped and many things are broken. the cloth top must be operated in manual mode, as it will not open or close fully. thus i have to remove the car cover, pull the 5th bow up off the rear deck so i can open it, open said rear deck and put the bow back down, unlatch the 1st bow to raise it a bit and prop it in place, go to the rear deck again and slip the 5th bow past the hinges of the deck, then stand up inside the car while pushing the entire top all the way through the static force of the disabled hydraulics until it has folded in its compartment under its own weight, then close the rear deck over it. but wait, there's more -- the deck cannot latch down that 5th bow when the top is up, but it also cannot latch itself closed when the top is tucked away under it. i have to move the return springs on the latches to hold the mechanism closed instead of open otherwise it'll come flying up in the wind.
and i go through all this trouble -- and the reverse to put it all back under the car cover again -- to drive it to the grocery store once every week or so... or some other errand like getting more propane... or buying a lawnmower.
I won’t tell you how fast I’ve gone on a Suzuki Katana. Yes, the 1100S.
I had a ZX9R in my younger days... sold it and bought a cruiser so I wouldn't kill myself.
Factory rated top speed 168 mph...... uphill..... pulling an open parachute. I was level, without the parachute.
I have exceed the speed limit on my modded GSXR1100; but I prefer fast with a cage when on the street!
I have gotten too picky weather wise to do the old crank the hvac while the tops down stuff anymore. It's just often too hot or too cold on the convertible and I find I don't use it as much anymore since if travelling for or to work I usually need to be presentable in business professional or at least dressier end of business casual and having my hair all whipped is not an option. I have decided that despite I've had enjoyment the 16 years of my 18 years as a driver having a convertible; i soon will be without one when I sell my X100. The Jetta has a pano roof which is NOT the same as a convertible but enjoyable enough and that true open air can be motorcycle acquired for me. I also won't own a car I won't daily; so daily usability is critical; and dress code factors in for me; so the top down would be only a fraction of the time.

Got no problem taking my XKR convertible for a ride on the 90 degree days, top down and A/C cranked. Likewise in the colder weather, with top down and heated seats, steering wheel and heater vents at MAX. I do prefer the early evening hours and late night convertible top down sessions, but I own 2 convertibles for a reason.... to get wind in my hair and an unobstructed view of the sky. I actually choose the dark interior so that it is a little warmer in the early spring/late fall when entering the vehicle after a stop when I need to put the top up.
I drive with the top down year round here in the mountains near Asheville, NC. I will admit that I don't drive the car when temps are below 20 degrees f. I have the light interior so that I don't burn the back of my legs in the summer. The heat and AC take care of everything but rain!! and as long as you are going close to 70 mph even that is no problem, just don't slow down!!!
Nah, it's purely a replacement for the convertible aspect; for the performance aspect I added the Maserati GranTurismo recently to take the X100s place.
The last couple of days it hit 90 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Feels good to enjoy the nice weather with the top down. This is why I got a convertible after having two XKR coupes. I'm still loving the XKR since my first 2011 XKR 175 couple. Top down is the best! The car is a huge head Turner.

The top stays down until 107 degrees here in the desert!

I lived in Vegas for years, and my limit was probably when the streets got to 115. That Vegas sun is brutal. There is so much asphalt and concrete, heat bakes off it.
Living in So Cal I have the top down most days. Live near the Pacific so the heat is not too bad. There is nothing like getting in the twisties with the top down in dynamic S mode and enjoying the exhaust tones.
Another So Cal opinion -- since it never gets too cold to drop the top here, it's an option 365 days a year.
My policy: June - Sept, top down at night. Lovely. Oct - May, top down during the day.
