Default Access help

A few weeks ago, I registered on this site with a user name and received an activation code. I activated the account and am able to get to this forum. However, it seems that every time I try to access anything else on this site, it says I do not have the access rights. For instance, if I try to go to the Photo Gallery or Members List, it says I am not authorized to access. What am I missing? It is also not clear to me how to access a system administrator to assist me. Thanks for any help offered.

James, as advised, if you'd read the new members MUST READ sticky in the new members section you would know that there is a time / post period to cover before you can access ALL features....This is a spam avoidance feature that has worked well for us.

I will enable full forum access for you

Just a thought Jim, but as so many people miss this info (me included, doh!) could it not be sent to the new member when they receive their registration email?

Graham, that is one piece of information that we have suggested to the 'IT Dept' that runs our forum. It would help alot, and we are trying to get the information out there.

Jim, in the interim, I vote that GrahamS call each new member (I hear VOIP is free long distance!) to instruct each of them them about this critical piece of information, as well as all of the rules and policies of the forum. whatcha think? lol

Er, I'd love to take up your kind offer Matt, but er, cough, my laryngitis has just flared up again, cough.

I suppose we'll just have to wait until that clears up, just let us know when your voice returns.

By that time, our new 'informational email' welcome message system might be up and running and you may not be needed. Let's hope you have a quick recovery. LOL
