I haven't seen this mentioned before but there is a jaguar website where you can view accessories and download install instructions (helpfull if you obtained prior used/owned parts). LINK

"ACCESSORIES"????? Now, which ones would THOSE be? I've not ever heard of any, other than maybe floor mats by WeatherTech or whatever. There are no Jaguar accessories for this car. Don't confuse 'options' for accessories, those are from the factory and very hard to locate, if at all.

Click on the links within the web page and they send you to Jaguar PDF's. Each link is defined by Jaguar as an accessory.

That's all well and good. Now try to BUY some of the NOT stupid ones. Most are generic crap from China. Many are Repopped parts, probably shoddy and not worth the postage.

Fair enough, you're not a fan. I selected the exterior section and the OEM part numbers are there along with instructions for quite a few parts. This forum gets questions on how to R&R some of these from time to time. Other's might find them valuable and I think it belongs in the DIY sticky section. @GGG what do you think? Worth posting in the workshop section or the DIY?

I think the installation info is worthwhile.

I guess it's okay, but since nearly everything there fits nearly every car ever made by anyone, I don't see how specifics could help much.
Carry on, I'll leave my nose out of it from here on out.

Umm, Jaguar used to produce an accessories brochures every year. I have got PDFs of dozens of them as well as all of the accessory fitting instructions.

Here is the brochure published in 2009 for 2010 MY X150.

I have bought a few accessories over the years. Just select something from the brochure and rock up to the dealer parts department.

Enjoy
That catalog is dated 2015 and many of those accessories are no longer available, such as the Leaper logo floor mats (except for Caramel, maybe).

I included a comprehensive set of JLR Accessory fitting instructions in the ACCESSORIES section my F-Pace 'How To' sticky:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...mation-163949/

I included a similar section in the F-Type 'sticky' but there were far fewer accessories available:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...mation-101906/

I didn't do this with X150 'sticky' for two reasons:

1. JLR discontinues 'accessories' very soon into a production run and items are NLA. As an example, I was heading down the southern Spain in 2018 and had to order a Sun Visor from Jaguar Columbia in SC because they were the only JLR Dealer in the World with remaining stock.

2. it takes a lot of effort to compile and I didn't think it sufficiently relevant or wide interest

If anyone wants to download and rename the Jaguar PDF's, I'd be happy to add an ACCESSORIES section to X150 'sticky'.

Graham

The Battery Charging Kit is interesting. It appears to be a fused cigar lighter which you install in the boot. I though it might be something which would use the existing accessory connector referred to in a thread a few days ago.

I suspect that using a knife to cut a hole in the plastic boot liner might be rather tricky. A hole cutter drill bit would be a more appropriate tool although not everyone has one, I guess.

It looks to me that you couldn't close the trunk/boot with the placement of the socket.

I guess it depends upon the gauge of your battery charger cable and how small the panel gap is when the boot is closed. A low power smart charger/maintainer should be OK.
