Lightbulb Adaptive Cruise Control

A couple of weeks ago I discovered my XKR has adaptive cruise control, I had no idea that was even a thing back in 2007. My question is; was it part of a pack or something you ordered separately?

A little glam shot in the showroom for your time.

It was an expensive option @ about $3500. It was included only on the 2010 models.

It came as standard on my 07 XJR when I bought it in 2007.

Adaptive Cruise Control was a $2,200 option on the 2009 models in the North American market.

I think I spoke unclearly...... it was a Factory Standard Equipment only on the 2010 models. Otherwise an *expensive* option on all other years.

So I got the price a bit off. My bad. Others have also corrected me anywhere from $2200 to $3600.

and I had it on the 04 xjr as well. Built by ratheon.
Btw, pretty ride. If you had the chromed hood vents, (and 305s on the back) I’d mistake her for mine.

My '07 XK had adaptive cruise control. Part of an option pack. My first car with that option!

It was actually introduced in late 1999, on the previous generation of XK!

My 2007 had ACC. It's on the Build Sheet but this doesn't indicate whether it was standard on the European Specification or an additional cost item specified by the original buyer.

We had two 25 mile sections of 50 mph speed camera monitored road works just south of me on the very busy main London to Edinburgh road at the time (they went on for almost five years!) and ACC was very useful when going through these without collecting tickets and points on the driving licence.

My present XK only has standard Cruise Control but I never use it. Traffic is generally too dense in England to maintain constant speed for any distance.

Forgive me being pedantic, Cee Jay--it must have been factory standard equipment only on some 2010 models/trim levels. Wish mine had it.
