Adaptive Dynamics Fault
I turned on my 2011 XK after about a week of no driving (on the C-Tek though) and got the "Adaptive Dynamics Fault" message on the dash. No codes picked up by my OBD reader. I tried disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for 20 minutes... no luck. I drove it for a couple of hundred miles, and didn't notice any issues. I was hoping it would reset itself after some driving, but it didn't clear. I'm at 48950 miles... still a bit of warranty left... but I'm getting the itch to get an extended warranty. Any easy place for me to start looking? Dirty sensors, loose connectors etc, before I take it to my dealer?
Turns out the problem was the rear driver side height sensor. Wires were damaged near the connector in the wheel well. I guess you need a factory scan tool to get the code for this... my OBD reader did not show the fault code.
You should have got a C1A05 code on OBDII - without the Jag system, you can't see the extra two digits that tell you more specifically what's wrong (short to power, short to ground, signal out of range, etc.), but the first 5 digits should have been logged.
