Default Adaptive Front Lighting System Warning Icon Displayed

I have asked a mechanic to fix an issue with the headlights in my 2008 XKR Porfolio. They are not raising after starting the engine. He thinks he can fix this if he can find DVD137.00 v.162 or later. This is according to Technical Bulletin JTB00353NAS1 - 27JUN2014. Does anyone know where I can find this software? Otherwise, he informed me that he may need to replace the headlight control module (C2P13236) and reprogram it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Make sure you check the headlight leveling sensors, usually right front and rear left. They get bent in the wrong position when people work on the suspension. If someone hasn't seen them before, pushed into the wrong position can seem OK, so a careful look and comparo to the maintenance manual is in order.

Second tip is that the sensor display a voltage that moves when the suspension is bounced. Autel AP200 allows checking the module voltages under the module's "live data" screen. Also, the AP200 has a module test service function that runs the headlights through their "reset" dance. So you can use the "reset" function to test both the height sensors and the common headlight bad grounds as you diagnose. Good luck.
