Yes it should have a decent amount of volume, that's why I decided to put 1 in and not both. However the sound quality is more important to me that the volume and these subs reproduce quality sound. I like it loud anyway and the stock sub just doesn't do it for me. These are rated at 400W RMS but I will only be pushing about half of that to it. I chose to put it behind the seat so I can still have room for luggage/golf clubs in the trunk.

Going to tap into the wiring for the factory sub, the amp has high level input. That way I can still control it via the infotainment screen. The amp comes with a remote gain controller that most people mount under the dash, but I want to find a way to integrate it into the ashtray (since it never gets used anyway) so it will be hidden unless I want to use it.
The amp is a Rockford Fosgate RF500X1D. Its a small, affordable amp that has great reviews:
Rockford Fosgate R500X1D Prime Series mono subwoofer amplifier — 500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms at Crutchfield.com
The speakers are great, Ive had them for quite a while and they sound just as good as they did the day I bought them.
