Default Aerial removal

Aerial removed and then resprayed. That's the only thing about this car that bothered me and it looks much better now!

Looks great! I want that done to my car eventually, how much did cost if you don't mind?

It was a mate that did it for me who has his own body shop. He charged me £200 for removing it, welding a patch over the hole and respraying the panel and bumper.

I've never noticed that the 2006-2009s HAD external aerials. Are they the same as the XK8s, as they came up whenever the stereo was on, regardless of mode? Agreed that pretty much EVERYTHING looks better without them.

I think it was just the 06/07 and then they started putting them in the spoiler. I pulled the fuse for it the day I got it as I never listened to the radio anyway. But it annoyed me so much seeing it there every time I got out the car!

Looks very well done. Maybe I'm just old-school, but I kind of like the look of the antenna. I understand the risk of damaging it accidentally, so I bought a 2008 spoiler with the internal antenna, and then I'd put the original on a switch, so I could control when it was actually 'up'. But haven't gotten to doing that upgrade yet (so many others ahead of it in the queue).

I pulled the fuse for my antenna long time ago and I still receive excellent FM signal and very very decent Am signal.
