My last module (s/h from Latvia(?) lasted about 18 months before the dreaded death-watch beetle started his clicking noise!!
Sorry I posted in XJ forum by mistake.Have now seen the posts on this topic in this forum! I'd still like to know if new units can be bought
from anywhere other than Jaguar - at a SENSIBLE price. Clearly these units are poorly made with a rubbish chinese(?) pcb that falls to pieces when moisture gets in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have gone for a Land rover Disco 4 unit (s/h) but don't expect it to last much beyond the 3 month guarantee.
Unless the unit is dismantled there is no way of telling what condition the pcb is in - so testing the unit merely proves it is working at the moment.
My car has only covered 46K miles so pretty poor that the unit didn't last longer.
