I dunno... Alcantara is quite porous and fuzzy. You'd have to wash your hands every time you drove. Also, no skinny-pedal fun or your hands will sweat and then get skin oil all over the whole thing and stain it. Absolutely no female drivers, ever. They have a tendency to touch their faces, then touch the wheel. Makeup all over the place. Uncleanable.

It's great if you track your car often as it wicks moisture and offers good grip. However as others have stated it does not wear well and if you have no other trim it may look out of place. I opted for a ergonomic flat bottom carbon fiber wheel instead and interestingly enough from a guy on the Gold Coast who fashions all sorts of carbon parts for a reasonable price.

I have one on my 2013 XKR and it looks new and feels fantastic in the hand. I also have the original leather wheel, which is new, and which the dealer offered to put in place of the Alcantara wheel. Before I picked up the car I thought I would have them make the change, but once I drove it it was an easy decision to keep the Alcantara wheel. Maybe it helps visually that it matches the headliner, but it does feel great. Brush it occasionally and it'll last.

Indeed. Outstanding. Do you have more pics of the seats by chance? Seems like a reasonable request for a steering wheel thread, no?

Did the leather a year ago, then replaced the dash, console leather panels, leather rear hump, headliner & pillars all with new ebony Jaguar Alston suede parts (the original canvas Alston was deteriorating) over the summer and then the carbon bits shortly after. Car smells brand new...

Yes and yes, real carbon fiber custom made. Carbon fiber on the door panels too. Planning on doing the inside/outside thresholds and portolio shifter knob soon too.

Well, actually I was a bit off, I must have been thinking of someone else in Queensland. Apologies, he is a bit further away from Gold Coast, he is located in Sydney, the one in NSW. Looking for his address.
