Question alignment of lowered XKR

I have had my Mina springs for a few months but just now installed them. Has anyone resolved the issue of restoring correct camber front and rear? I am in the business and can not see an easy way to reset the camber and it will wear tires on the inside where it is at. Also feel the front is too low, if I restore proper camber settings the tires will probably impact the wheel well of the outer fender.

Drivability seems ok, not much change except that steering is a little loose due to improper tire contact to the road and I may have felt a slight bump steer coming from the rear, not sure so I will try that again.

If I leave the springs in I will raise the front about 1/2 inch, then if I don't come up with an easy way to bring camber back in, I will look at customizing upper control arms in front and lower control arms in the rear.

Mine is a 2008 XKR Portfolio with active suspension, this adds another issue, the camber is asymmetrical from side to side. I can almost get the correct setting on the right side with the factory adjustment but no where close on the left front. The rear has no factory adjustment available.

Any Ideas?

According to what little documentation I have, it looks as though the lower control arm is attached to the chassis via and eccentric bolt. You should have some level of camber adjustment there.

Thanks for sharing the spring info. I've been thinking about the same change of springs but, was waiting for your findings. No surprise there, as I checked my factory cambers in the rears and found them already over 1 degree, negative. Lowering the suspension, I figured, would really tilt the tires on their edges. Interesting that you did NOT find enough adjustment even up front.

I guess, I will pass on the spring change and give the front-end a nice break; after all the factory ride height allows me to just slide over most parking curbs. That's got to mean something :-)

I had the Mina lowering springs installed on my 2007 XK a few years ago. I never had a problem with my alignment or irregular tire wear until my most recent visit to the dealership. They gave the car an alignment but I had to return it to them because the car kept pulling to the left. The tech claims that this is due to my lowering springs and that I don't need to worry about irregular tire wear. However, I was previously taking the car to NTB(National Tire Battery) to have the alignment done and I never had problems with the car pulling.

I will say this, the car looks so much better lowered!
