hello, i notice some black brilliant color under car (i presume on transmission box). Some days ago mechanic on a shop said to me that is water from AC. Today ( my car was in parked 3 days) i notice same color, some black bright continues (photos in attache). Could be a transmission oil leak? . I don't see any oil marks on garage floor. Must be an subject that can put in risk transmission? Can I drive the car or i must see this on a jaguar dealer

The transmission pan is plastic. I cracked it on my XK and had to replace it at 20K miles. Can you try washing and cleaning the area off to see where it's really leaking?

 

Check the electrical plug on the back of the transmission. They are known for leaks.

 

Leak solved (i hope) after install transmission maintenance KIT (plastic cover; full transmission fluids change; etc)...After maintenance and some euros investment i hope maintain transmission without problems some years !! After a ride sometimes i see the transmission wet..maybe water from AC..Very strange is XKR don't has some cover protection for the transmission plastic pan!!
