Default Any info on this Taiga Green XKR?

I have seen this XKR for sale twice and have really wanted it both times.

2012 Jaguar XK - Smyrna, GA - Nalley Lexus Smyrna - CMB46260

It is an unusual color. Taiga green metallic, which I don't see anywhere in the model brochures. I am really wanting to get back into an XK, but this is not near enough for me to look at in person. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul

Neat looking car but I wonder how hard it is to get the pimple off it's nose? Per the color, in the F type sub they were told it was BRGM, British Racing Green Metallic.

The 'automotivetouchup' site lists HAC as 'Galway Green'. Another odd name.
But British Racing Green Metallic is color code HGY.

Yeah, I hate the hood leaper, but love the color combination. BRG metallic was a standard color for the XK in 2012. I have seen a few XF and XJ 2012 US spec models for, sale here and there. It seems lighter than BRG metallic, more like the Emerald Fire color a few years earlier. I guess maybe it was a special order color.

+1 on the nose zit. I'm near the dealer and, if you're a serious buyer, PM me and I'd be happy to look it over for you.

I would cut a deal with the dealer to remove the nose art and properly repair the hood and also replace the tires.

It might possibly be Botanical Green, which was a 2011 (MY12) colour.

Except Botanical Green is HHN. I've gone through all of the model year brochures and so far all I have found is emerald fire, botanical, BRG and JRG - it appears you have found an ultra rare special order color.

Found this site, which does list Taiga Green as an option for the 2012 XK/XKR:

See 2012 Jaguar XK Color Options - CarsDirect

Also saw another touch up site that lists Taiga Green as code HAC:

Jaguar HAC Taiga Green

It is a rare color. The paint code is HAC and the trim code is RGB. I have seen a few XF and XJ models in Taiga listed for sale that are US spec cars, but never an XK. This car was for sale in 2014 and I wanted it then but couldn't move on it. We'll see if I have any better luck this time. Thanks for the responses. I have posted an inquiry on the XF forum page to see if anyone knows what this color looks like in person. No luck in that yet. Taiga on my iPad appears to be lighter than BRG, more like Emerald Fire from a few years ago.

Similar, but maybe a shade darker than Emerald Fire, at least from the pictures I've seen.

If it is anything close to Emerald Fire, it is a superb color. I had an '08 XK with the Emerald Fire paint and just about everyone, including the dealer personnel, commented that it was the best color for Jaguar. I agree and hated to let it go.

Lucky you! If I had known about Emerald Fire before I bought my Radiance Red, I may have waited for one to pop up, and made it my first non-red vehicle purchase. EF is a fantastic color.

Pics aren't the greatest, but Emerald Fire was the reason for trading my XK8 for a new Christmas present back in 2008.

Default The story behind Taiga Green XK's

According to the Jaguar Heritage Trust, Taiga Green was temporarily substituted for Botanical Green for about 6 months as a result of materials shortages caused by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. The Taiga Green trim code is HAC and is the same color as Land Rover Galway Green. JHT estimates that about 50 XK's were painted Taiga Green.
