Just wondering if anyone has done any pin striping on their cars. Would you consider it and has anyone done it.. Any pictures out there.

jagtoes,
I have been seriously considering putting a thin red pinstripe on the sides of my silver coupe. I haven't had the time to experiment yet, however. I figured I would try it with a vinyl stripe first to see what it looked like and where placement should be. If I like it, I would then remove and have them painted permanently. I'd love to see some pictures if you find any.
Thanks
Ted

Mine had the optional 75 'mascara' stripes on it before I bought it, but they'd been removed before I actually saw the car & test-drove it.

(this is the press car)

I wasn't sure if I'd keep them or not - I suspect my other half would have insisted that they look too "boy racer". But the question became moot.

I've got pin striping on mine (prior owner did it). At first I didn't like it, but I guess it's growing on me. It's a little hard to see in the picture, but it runs at the top of the fender next to the bonnet, across the door and across the rear wings along a body crease. The color matches my interior.

To be honest it was great they were removed , IMO they look awful, spoiled the cars looks.

It crossed my mind that on mine it would look nice to have some matt black or cf just on the flange under the door sills, maybe even with a little line of red at the outside. It would be similar then to the sills on the bottom of the f type. It probably sounds awful but my mental image of it is amazing!

But it is a tricky area with the shape, so it'd have to be professionally done, and I'm not massively motivated.

Pinstripes belong on business suits and 70's Cadillac's, and nothing more.
