Also, there is no provision on the outside eight inches on the spoiler for a fastener. The OEM push-type connectors do go into holes on the deck towards the outside ends, but the Mina spoiler is totally flat in that area, and the push connectors have that washer-type retainer that would by itself lift the spoiler off the deck. I suppose I could recess the area where the push retainers go, but those don't really secure tightly, mostly locate. I COULD again install captive nuts in the spoiler and put bolts up through the deck lid, but those areas are covered by the lid structure and would require cutting or drilling on the aluminum to gain access to the inside. ... which is why the two-faced tape comes into play.
What I WILL do for now is leave it as it sits and finish (re-re)installing SDD to MAKE THIS STUPID FAKRA CAMERA WORK!!!!!!!!!!!
Dang it, I can't catch a break anywhere!!!!!!
The Mina spoiler I bought from Jahummer secondhand, had the two cutouts for the two push in fasteners that are a couple inches from both ends of the spoiler. Maybe you could mark and drill holes into the bottomside of the spoiler and install nutserts into the spoiler and bolt it from the inside? You would just have to gain access from the boot lid panel, same as when wiring rear camera...

I warned you...
I had to make several modifications using a dremel to sand, grind, cut and drill. I also did a dry fit for all reasons cited, hell even dry fit the Jag one.
Actually Chris sent me 2 of them because after much grinding and cutting I still could not get the damn HSL to fit so he supposedly modified the mold cast another which was indeed a better fit but still required some grinding and cutting for a better fit. FWIW the OEM one does not have a “perfect” seal along the edges but it is much better than the replica and made of flexible urethane which helps immensely.
I also had to cut and drill 7 holes for mounting and tweak the screws a bit for best fitment. I used a foam gasket around the base similar to OEM and only used mounting tape on the part that attaches above the plinth, just like Jag does.
I think Chris’ recommendation was to glue it to the deck lid with Sikaflex or some such bonding material but I preferred the way I did it.
where did you buy the carbon fiber rear plate that covers the jaguar lettering
looks sick
If you are referring to the carbon fibre plinth on the hatch lid, it is a full replacement part from
Jaguar as featured on the limited production XKR-S GT.
will it fit my 2007 jaguar xkr? Is it easy to instal?
Yes it will fit BUT you will also need the updated LED plate lamp assemblies and hatch/boot release button and made a small modification to the existing plate lamp harness. All very simple to do if you are comfortable with such things, probably a 2 out of 10 on a difficulty scale. I bought all of the parts from Steve at Cotswold in the UK.

Yeah, well, my 'new' (used) OEM Speed Pack fits nicely, but isn't nearly as pretty painted as the junk MINA one was (after $200 paint job), but it looks great. I forgot to post on this thread in September when I finally got it installed;
