Call the Jaguar dealer in Chicago where it was serviced, they will be able to tell you a lot about the car.
I did this with another Jaguar and ended up passing on it as result of what the service manager told me about the car. (it was driven in winter)

There are two dealers North of Chicago, both of which are owned by the same family, One is in Wilmette and the other is in Lake Bluff. When I lived in Chicago, I bought my Jaguars and had them serviced at Orloff Jaguar on the North side of town but close to the Loop.
