Hi Guys , I`ve recently been trying to get my 2007 XKR convertible sorted out , it ended up getting flooded inside due to a window left slightly open in a storm, unfortunately it was a few days after the rain that I actually realized , I got it drained and dried out (almost) but the amp in passenger footwell got damaged and doesn't work ,is there anywhere that either supply the originals reconditioned or repair them or is there an equivalent replacement on the market any advice would be welcome , I`m also going to put up another thread regarding a replacement roof but if anyone on this thread can recommend any specialists that do that it would be great
I`ve attached a photo of the back of the amp with product cone and also a google of the Amp, I`ve scanned the internet but can`t seem to see anyone who sells them other than a couple of random ones in US , I feel sire there must be places around that have these in the UK
not sure what the issue is buying from US. Taxes? Noma Auto Parts in Texas. They're a little pricey but test everything and have 30 day returns. They're on eBay US and usually will accept offers of 10% below their asking price. They ship to the UK
Watching with interest as I have to do the same here in UK too.
How did you get to the unit . Is it seat out trims off then carpet? How tricky is it to get to , any tips please.

Have to ask... why bother with a repaired or replacement 17 yo MOST enabled stereo amplifier when you could source a modern one?
At least, that's what I would try...

I didn't want to cause any more damage so got a local guy in, he had to take the seat, trims and carpet out and then metal panel at the end of footwell to get to the amp , hope this helps
My rear window was coming unglued and causing leaks. I re-glued it and it lasted another year, but looked pretty aweful. In the end I bit the bullet and got a new hood fitted in Poole, where I live. I have never regretted it. Its a perfect match; the original was green to go with the nearly-BRG, Emerald Green metalique. He did it in one day. Its perfect. It seemed expensive, but wasn't really. Thanks for the contact details , the guy there has sorted me out , seems like a good place and decent fella , I sure he`ll prove very useful in the future too
