Default Auto Headlamp Leveling Issue

2009 XKR PE.
Auto leveling headlamps just today began to stay in the "sleep" position and won't properly align when turned on. I'm hoping this is a minor issue or can be fixed with adjustment of a system setting. Any advise appreciated.

Maybe disconnect the battery for a few seconds and then reconnect?

J:

I sent to you via PM in a "pdf file" the 2009 Jaguar WorkShop Manual which is 3999 pages. I am sure that if you search that document (CTRL>F) you can locate the leveling headlights. Hope it helps. Sent late tonight.

This happened to me about a year ago. My headlights looked like a crosseyed cat and point straight down to the ground. I couldn't drive at night. My mechanic called someone who reprogrammed lights and within a minute they were working again. However...., about a week later it happened again and reprogramming would not clear the problem. I purchased a used headlight from another forum member, installed it and have not had a problem since.

Default Had the same problem

Had the same problem with my passenger headlight..would not recenter, and took it in to the dealer to check programming with no luck...I was told the motor would not recenter and had to purchase another one.. I found one on Ebay for $150.00 and I even saw one on Ebay a week ago that sold for $77.00 dollars..
