This is a 2009 XKR. We are trying to figure out what may be the issue. I can not post the video and will work on that. It is not smoking, but a bad chatter. Has me thinking the buckets went bad. As soon as I can get the video reformatted on on here I will.
??????????????????????????
You really must be a LOT more specific if you expect any assistance.
Also, where about do you live? A 2009 in the UK is a lot different than a 2009 in ROW.

I've no idea what the buckets going bad means. There is no engine issue I can think of which would reflect that as a general term. Valve clearances can obviously drift out of spec which could be indirectly related to the the buckets, or more accurately, the shims, but that does not usually happen suddenly.
A chattering sound with an XKR is more likely to be the supercharger coupler or VVT solenoid than a valve clearance issue.

OK, Sorry. health issues and not been able to get back till now. I will see if I can get the video up soon. A family member sent me a video of a car they are looking to buy. The video was to let me hear the chattering in the engine. The guy said the buckets are causing the cam to chatter. I have not ever known this to happen on a Focus or a Hayabusa (things I have worked on), but I am repeating what the owner told my family. In the video, it sounds bad. Like a rod knocking, or like an older 5.0 foxbody stang when the lifters collapse.
Yes this is in the US, the car is a 2009 XKR. This is all the info I have on the car.
What they are referring to are bucket tappets (followers). They are a thing, I know certain model jags have them. In fact, I believe, F-Type's of some vintage do as well. I could be wrong on that, but I think the reason there is some confusion is that often folks don't include the word "bucket" when referring to them. They are called this, though because they look like upside down buckets.
Quickest representative image I could find:
They are used in OHC engines (maybe others, but this is as far as my experience goes), with the camshafts mounted directly over the valves, they are driven by bucket tappets that also use shims to adjust the clearances. These shims can either be above or below the bucket tappet. I am unsure how they are situated in Jags as I have only ever seen it done one time and can't remember (though I think the shim was below).
The benefits of a bucket tappet are the simple design, the fact they directly actuate which helps with having precise control, they are also lightweight compared to other types of tappets, and they can be used in a more wide range of various engine configurations.
That all being said, yes it is absolutely possible for worn or even missing shims to cause chatter "at the buckets". It is repairable, of course, even by a DIY'er with moderate experience and confidence. It is also standard enough that any mechanic worth anything could do it as well. As someone who buys used, worn out, and wrecked jags often, if the price was right, wouldn't bother me at all.
5.0s are especially prone to having excessive wear of their "buckets" due to bad camshafts. I have sold a few replacement camshafts due to this very fact. Not sure how close the sounds would be to a bad supercharger coupler which is usually more of a hollow rattling sound.
