Winter in Ohio keeps my 2007 XK8 in the garage more than i'd like. I've had several times when the battery is dead, especially after 10-14 days of not driving it. Dealer says the car drains it's battery in that short of a period. Also it cannot recharge itself properly without trickle charger. Are there any good solutions to this? Seems like an impractical design issue to me.

If it's really true, what's the most conenient way to trickle charge the system? Thank you in advance for any assistance.

 

I keep the key away from the car because i hear that it causes a drain. It might have been an early 2007. I'll try some of what you suggested and see how it works out. Thank you for the assistance.
