Default Best brakes

Just purchased a 07 XKR, first Jag. I’m having a problem finding drilled or ? rotors for my 07 XKR. Will replace all 4, suggestions? Want quality parts. Also, pad suggestions please.

I recently switched my rear pads from OEM to Akebono ceramics. Huge difference in the amount of brake dust. After long drives, the rear wheels look perfectly clean while the fronts (on OEM pads) have quite a bit of brake dust. The consensus seems to be that ceramics have to warm up before they give you the "bite" (in feel at least) but they put out way less dust. Congratulations on your XKR. Please post pictures!

Stick with OEM and you can't go wrong.

Check out StopTech rotors. Tire Rack sells them. Much cheaper then OEM. I use the cyro-treated rotors.

If I were to do the brakes over, I'd go with an AP Racing set up. Best brakes I have owned or used.

Great, I trust Stop Tech, but when I check on line Tire Rack only has a the rear rotors...what about the front rotors. Checking the spec sheet on my car it has “Super Performance Brakes” . The calipers have a marking t hat looks like ATO or ATG and the number 355 if this helps determine the proper front discs.
thanks for the help!

I put slotted Cryo Stoptechs on the front of my XK, and non-cryo slotted on the rear.

As an aggressive driver, I also stepped up to EBC Yellowstuff, which I could still overheat on some serious backroad romps.
Ceramics are best suited for non aggressive drivers.

I never let cleaning brake dust stand in the way of shear stopping power as brakes are the second most important safety device on your car (second only to tires).

Stay OEM on pads, or look at EBC if you push your XKR.

Always remember: Brakes stop tires.... Tires stop cars....
