I do agree however.

Most Jag mechanics banks would say the same.

My Indy agrees, although says the 5.0 XJ and XF are easier to work with. Possibly because of more space, but then they don't look as purposeful/fast or svelte

Well the x150 model is without doubt the best in any Shape or performance the xj and xf experience etc are just normal euro box bland looking cars not worthy of a second glance , Certainly from the exterior and the Ftype well let's just say it was designed at the end of a long nite of drinking bourbon

Absolutely love my X150, but my XJ12's are more elegant to drive and far more Jaguar-ish.
I could be a wee bit biased.
Everybody wonders what my XKR is as they are very rare around this neck of the woods.
Everybody and their Uncle knows XJ12's are Jags. Could be the leaper...
Unlike today's models (excluding the F line) it doesn't look anything like a Toyota.
That should get things going!

To be fair the Toyota that the X150 looks like has attained mythical halo status.

And the newest Camry looks quite sharp.
They seem to be aiming for the same market that thought a '57 chevy in '57 was a good idea.

If there's a prize for being "woke", I don't want it.

I'd lean more towards the 4.2 Super V8 XJ as the best modern Jag.

Yeah without the tensioner issues, waterpump issues, lack of dipstick, SC coupler issues, E-diff issues, its a great car.

But by that logic, it would just be a 4.2, which is the GOAT =]

The Super V8 had a lot of majesty inside and out.

Love that car too. Rare to find a good example though...
