Default Best Wheel For XK - Mesh, 5 Spoke, Flush, Deep?

So I've generally loved a deep reverse lip wheel on my cars when I go aftermarket. What's nice about sites like execstudio.com is that they provide links to all the key custom wheel mfg's with pics.

BUT, there a ZERO XKR's in any of the pics... So we have to try to visualize how our car would look best. I'll have to seek out Aston pics and see what look works best with the lines.

What are your thoughts?

I'd first contact exec and find out which wheels are available, if any. Then post which ones and we can vote!

Since they are all custom wheels I believe most can be done for our car. I know D2 for example will work as they've contacted me. And D2 has nearly every style as well.

I've always liked the look of mesh, but I hate cleaning them. What I'd like is a nice clean concave wheel with about 7 spokes. Enough to have a little class but not so much that I take forever in cleaning them out. Failing that, I think I'll fall back to a 5 spoke myself. Probably in an anthracite/black chrome type finish.

But you're right -- there are not very many XKR owners swapping their wheels out. Or at least taking pics of it afterwards.

My 1st set of wheels for the jag were reverse lip as I saw them on an AMV8V. I then switched them to semi concave wheels last Spring.

This was the car I saw the wheels on an AMV8V and so I got them:

Same wheel on my car:

I'm partial to 5 spoke, reverse shiny lip, brushed center. Many companies make wheels as described. You mentioned D2. I like several of their offerings. Others I like:
ADV1
Modulare
Vellano
Cor
DPE

There are a few others I like but these I like a lot. I'm leaning toward DPE for my next set. They have ben around quite a while.

Ghostrider, I bet those wheels would have looked sick after the drop. So we can't compare those wheels to your current setup because the current set includes the drop so it isn't apples to apples ;-)

So since there are few pics of XK's on aftermarket wheels I've been noting other GT cars like Aston, 6 Series, SL etc. to see what looks good on them; some "muscular class" is what I'd like to call it.

Here are some I'm thinking about:

The D2 shown on the BMW and Aston turns my crank, or the very similar C2K from Complete Custom Wheel.

Really like the style of your current wheels Ghostrider. I'm not usually one to replace things on cars, but when its time for me to replace tires I may think about doing something in a similar style. I have the "base" wheels on my XK and man are they a pain to clean. Since I prefer wheels with a more open look to them anyway, it might be worth the upgrade.

I like all of those.
The latest concave thing kinda bothers me a little though. Never been into following fads and you never know how long they will last.

With that aside, all your choices look really sweet and will take the car to another level. Wheels like these will keep the car fresh, as well.

I like your style.

Since you asked for opinions.....I'm not a big fan of mesh designed wheels but like them a little. Also not a fan of all blacked-out wheels without a contrasting color to bring them out. The ps pic seems to have a silver outline on the wheels and that helps. The big red brakes help too.

Since what I like is not really important, opinions on how the wheels look on the car are called for here.
They do look good on the XK. Mesh are both sporty and luxurious, matching the XK's persona perfectly.

These OEM wheels have a similar design, but I like them better because of the black and silver color contrast.
