Beware fo new E15 gas
EPA is at it again; they are putting more Corn Flakes in the Gas!
It's NOT good for us...............50% more Corn Flakes than current E10 gas; it's ID is E15.
Voids lots of warranties including Lawn Mowers!
I'm sure we will hear a lot more about this latest dumb idea..........maybe we should
go back to Steam!
Cheers and have a nice day, Adrian

Yep, I had to search for a NON-Ethanol station, and I found that nearly all the Sinclair fuel stations near me are 100% ethanol-free. And ten cents more per gallon. Well worth it.
Ethanol test kits for fuel can be obtained for around $40. I would almost bet you a tank of fuel, it contains ethanol as the oxygenator, due to the banning of MTBE by the EPA. The stations here in my area, who claimed they were ethanol-free were simply incorrect.

.Nope, not me, not in my journeys about Oregon and Washington, at least.

Should we name E15 'Satan Plus' if it ever does appear?
I haven't seen it in WA..........yet.
I do know that WA state marinas all carry non alcohol gas;;I used to use it all year round in my XKE; sold it to a friend and he put E10 in it (i told him not too!); only took 3-4 weeks before he had fuel supply problems. Solution was he needed to buy new fuel tank($600) because the E10 started to clean out the tank coating ..................
I am trying to find out from Cenex if their E00 gas is honest!

All modern cars (say 1990 and newer) are fully compatible with E10. Many areas of North America have had E10 and nothing but E10 for 20-30 years, yet the number of bone fide issues it has caused is virtually zero.
Everybody knows a guy who knows a guy who has a story but that's about it.

If it was done within the last few years I'm a bit surprised that the manufacturer didn't make the product E10-compatible. Worth researching for anyone considering such coatings in the future

I'm presuming this was one of the sealant-type products that you slosh around to coat the inside of the tank?

So given that E15 is generally not available anywhere, it's been approved for use on new cars by some OEM's, none of which have aftermarket epoxy coating on the gas tanks, why the dire warning?
Here in the grain belt we have quite a few stations with E15 (They are on the same pump as the E85 stuff) along with some other, higher level E pumps (E20, etc.). They are marked for flex fuel, just like the E85 pump. The rest of the pumps are still E10 and I usually have to hop over the border to South Dakota if I don't want any ethanol. The car has never had any issues with E10. My wife's old Subaru, before we sold it, was getting a little picky though and did run better without Ethanol.
