Default Black leaper on porcelein

Decided to switch back boot chrome jaguar leper emblem to gloss black with black licence frame and black top on porcelein white 09 xk. Looks good, what do you think?

I have the chrome leaper badges available for pre-2012 Jaguar XK/XKR's.

I have always thought that the leaper badge enhances the look of the XK/XKR.

Your's in black looks GREAT, matching the license plate holder, and black covertible top.

There can be no doubt your driving a Jaguar, a premium luxury automobile. I am sure your leaper draws attention to the car and the Jaguar brand.

Automobile companies employ lots of design work/designers in creating an emblem logo for their brands. Jaguar has done it right with the leaper.

Question:

Was your Jaguar leaper chrome then painted or dipped? or

Did you find it in already done in Black, then simply applied it?

Looks good, but you need to also paint the trunk chrome piece black. The chrome trunk piece looks odd with the leaper painted black. Actually, on your car the trunk chrome piece in white would look better, IMO.

I agree with DGL. The chrome piece would look much better if it matched the black leaper.

Original chrome badge, just prime spray painted it and then 4 light coats of rustoleum enamel gloss black spray paint. Less then $10 to redue it. Figured if it didn't come out good would just buy another chrome one and stick with it. Came out great! Thanks for the comments, agree that white chrome piece underneath it would look good but not going to that expense at this time, maybe in the future. Thanks again.
