Blowing a P0430
I contributed to a thread on this very question... I selected 200 cell cats from the US. (looking for 100cell) I got the name at Rock Auto then called the manufacturer directly (Boston region?) and got precisely what I wanted/
(Ie, 200 cell, stainless) Rockauto listed cats were not ss.
There were 1/2 the price of Jag. And as I expect, there was some finagling to do... bungs for the O2 sensors and a slight bend. I had the Jag dealer do the installation work and was very happy about it. Especially how they didn't give up and got the car running without throwing codes.
But the sound had everyone looking over their shoulder! ;-)

I agree am going to run BG44K through it hopefully on weekend. I am then going to get some new air filters and have them changed out, OEM or after market by not sure yet.
I knew one guy that tried Cat Cleaner. He couldn't pass emissions so he gave it a shot. He passed after the application. Granted, he didn't miss passing by much beforehand, but it did get him his sticker. I know of no other particulars in this case.
My car has 55k , before I spend $1500 on cats I need to know that is the issue. I tell guys that work for me back track the issue eliminate the cheapest issue before just assuming the most expensive. If I change the air filters and that doesn't fix the problem at least I have new air filters, so on and so on.

Yes, it's P0430, not po430.
I had a P0420 code that (believe it or not) was caused by a bad connections from the exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold.
I got the code, checked my fuel trims and saw they were off. all I had done immediately before was try and adjust the lay of the exhaust pipe so I took off the Bank 1pipe and smoothed out a ridge at the sealing surface and reinstalled.
And the fault went away and my trims were fine again
I didnt think a leak would throw that code but it did
