Bluetooth streaming 2007 XK no AUX or 30 pin
Hi Guys,
I have been pouring over these forums to try and find an answer to this problem and I think I have a solution but I want to check with the hive mind to see if there is any other solution.
I have a 2007 XK with no 30 pin adapter in the centre console or glovebox and I have no AUX showing in the display, all i want is to stream music via android and hopefully also get calls., preferably retaining the steering wheel controls.
I don't think I can use a Bovee type dongle as I don't have a 30 pin connector, unless there is somewhere to plug it into the back of the head unit?
The only other option I can see is something that plugs into the optic cable of the cd stacker which I do have.
That is this option

Does anyone have experience with one of these or do you have another solution.
Please only reply if you have a solution of meaningful comment so we can reduce thread spam
Thanks in advance

This ‘would appear’ to be a superior solution to the OldJaguar and JagAux products that require AUX enabled. It seems to be a stripped down version of their (Mr12Volt) CarPlay/Android Auto product, which has good reviews by users on this forum.

I don't know which models feature the compatible Ford 6CDX radio as shown but that is not the radio installed in our 2006 XK 4.2.
For our car, the simplest solution was to have AUX enabled for £50 and to install the Volvo Bluetooth module which cost around £15.

Once you had aux enabled, what did you physically plug the Bluetooth module into?
This is Cambo’s “Old Jaguar” version:

Ok so small update, this device will work with cars with the fomoco 6CDX, unfortunately my car has a 6CDI, so they will develop a new product which should be ready end of February which will work with my 6CDI player.
Project postponed for now.
