BUT, is this covered by the factory warranty?
I'm sure others will correct me, but from everything I've read here, the problem only occurs with 2007 models.

Dealers in Georgia are charging $5-600. There are two ways to accomplish , drop transmission to access *drain , $5-600, or rip out entire dash and a/c for $ 1100.
If you file a compliant with Jaguar USA , they will send you a $250. voucher to assist with problem .
Also several drains have been opened up with simple *do it yourself solution . Close all vents , turn a/c on high fan speed , the air is then forced to go somewhere , which many time it will open your drain, water will gush under car , that will tell you drain is open . Worth a try !
Jaguar has had many problems with this , there is a service bulletin on this that has been revised four times !
It should of been a recall !
Good luck ! Bruce

My 2008 XK had this happen, as well, and fixed under factory warranty.

I just had this happen tonight with my 2008 XKR. It was started at idle and left to run for 10-15 minutes then we took off for home. About 10 minutes later when accelorating, my son got some cold drips on his feet. A couple stop signs later and I actually heard the water POUR out onto his feet, soaking the floor mat. Weather 68, HUMIDITY 82% and dew point 62 degrees.

I saw in another forum that you can put the AC on Auto and CLOSE the Vents causing back pressure that sometimes opens the drain line. Anyone had any success with this?

Another solution to this problem is to place the HVAC in the recirculating position, fix the system so it blows only through the top vents, close all vents except one. Blow compressed air through this open vent - temporarily sealing the vent around the compressed air hose with duct tape. It does not take much pressure to blow the duck bill valve open. It worked for me.

I had a water leak in 2009. It was caused by a disconnected tube (A/C?) under the carpet on the left side of the front passenger side well. All that was required was a reconnection of the tube.

I want to thank everyone here for their posts. This happened to me yesterday. Water was pouring out into my passenger footwell. I called the Jag dealership and they gave me the bad news on how they had to fix this. I read the trick of shutting the vents and everything and it actually worked right away. Saved me $1500. Which was the quote.

Bless you people. Lol.

Just had this issue. Have had A/C on all summer in Denver with no water. Just drove back from Nebraska in cool weather, high humidity and rain. Water all over passenger footwell. I just tried the "tip" but I already had a puddle under my car. It made no difference. This makes me think it is related to high humidity and how much moisture the A/C is pulling out of the air. Maybe the drain tube can not handle the excessive amount??

DenverDDS, higher humidity will definitely cause more water to come out of drain tube, but trust me--the DC area is like a swamp in the summer and I haven't had any water leaking onto the floor.

The Denver Jag Dealer (Stevinson) quoted 950.00 to do the job replacing the defective tube. I tried the "forced air" trick with no luck. Then I tried the tip suggested on another thread making a tool and reaching between the engine and firewall. I was able to introduce the tool into the tip of the "duck bill" and successfully drain the water. Then the question becomes will it now drain by itself? Doing this procedure daily is rather inconvenient. So I guess I need to bite the bullet and head to the dealer.

I think you just need to do this once. I think the duckbill is stuck shut (being held together by something--old debris, etc.). If you get it to flush itself, it should be fine after that. At least for a while.

Just a follow up , my shop after talking to the jag in Victoria as they know each other said there are the two plus a half way. Worst case is taking out the dash and replacing the tube, $$$ and you always hope the dash fits perfect again with no rattles or creeks. Second is as mentioned is to hoist it up and drop the tranny, when you do this a very skilled and thin arm can reach in and slice the tube to let it drain and the problem is solved but it is hard to get too I was told. Otherwise your taking out more things to get to the tube and replace. Mine is sliced and since then no issues and cost me 300 not 5-6 or more . That Canadian dollars as our dealers charge 120 a hr.

Man am I glad I found this thread! My wife noticed water dripping on her feet under the passenger side dash yesterday. I tried the vent trick and it worked like a charm!

Rip out dash is the only reliable "fix" unfortunately. Figured Jag would've fixed this by 2009...

Had this happen to my 07. Which resulted in shorting out the blower motor module. It's located in the lower portion of the duct work where water collects if the drain is plugged. The vent closed trick worked on mine.

Default 2007 Jaguar XK AC leak in Passenger side footwell

I have 16K on my Convertible and the well documented condensation leak happened to me as well. I read the posts about closing the vents and turning the fan on high, and it worked as far as clearing the line. But before I did this I removed the blower first to get all the water out. It is easy to do, as there are only 3 screws. I then dried everything out as far as I could reach. I then put it back in place, closed the vents, turn the temp up on the climate control to 80, made sure the direction was set to the top vents, turned the fan speed to high and let it rip. I soon saw the water start to poor out of two locations under the car instead of just one. I was guilty of driving with the top down and ac on automatic. In the future, I will only use the ac when the top is up and ensure that it does not kick on when the top is down by turning the temp up to where the outside temp is. THANK YOU FOR ALL WHO POSTED THIS FIX. So far so Good.

Okay, i have to ask, approx how many Miles on the odometer when this issue creeps up? Is it inevitable that it will happen? Is there a known preventative procedure to avoid it from happening?
