This may sound a bit random but my 2006 XKR went in for a service and MOT and the Jaguar dealership said there are cable ties on two of the exhaust mounts that shouldn't be there. I have attached a couple of pics, does anyone have any ideas of what should be there or part numbers? Jaguar wanted a few hundred to replace them which sounded expensive to me.

Any help appreciated.

Looks like the mounts probably stretched over time, and a previous owner put on the ties to pull the exhaust tips back up closer to the rear bumper.

Not going to cost a few hundred to replace (that dealer will be laughing all the way to the bank if you paid that). Should be able to pick up some generic rubber mounts at an auto parts store. I bought some on Amazon a few years ago for my wife's Acura. They had multiple holes, so you could select the distance between the mounting points.

 

Agree with kj07xk. I would look up the hanger part number and search for an image. Take the image to the local auto parts store and match the dimensions as best you can. There should be a generic rubber hanger that comes very close to what you need. Good luck.
