The reason is I very recently had an education on new toys: while renting the ford cobra, i was having quite a bit of fun switching and testing between the different drive modes available. Which has me wondering; is something like this feature available on a 2010+ XKR? This thinking is akin to storage of multiple tunes, i think.
Of course, for those of you who know me, there was only one setting of interest ...

I am not sure if the TCU gets flashed as part of a remap, that said I believe it's the same tranny that's fitted to the XKR-S GT that is limited to (IIRC) 186?
I use one of these and reuse it if the transmission gets lazy:

No downsides after a year of use either and did away with the hesitation when changing down between 3-2-1

Someone with tuning experience will be best placed to answer that question. But since it says that it doesnt raise a flag on the ecu I believe it just affects the TCU
Cheap is subjective, I bought on a black friday deal and got a third off. But I also bought their power control unit and pedalbox. All were added separately so I could tell the difference between them in improved responsiveness and power.
I have yet to get mine dyno'd since fitting that trinity, purely as time/funds and later lockdown have delayed matters.
I do have a before, run so will be able to see if the trinity has made a difference...but need to get a solid SC nose coupler fitted as the current one is chatter..am unsure if that has a detriment effect on performance though?
