I guess I can't imagine the sound without mufflers in these cars. Tonight we were coming home from dinner with the top down . I came up on a pick up truck doing 45 in a 55 mile zone. Came up to the passing lines and pulled out an hit the peddle. I could not believe the sound nor seeing the needle hit 90 in a flash. I have the performance exhaust option and when it opens up it is louder than I like but makes the drive fun. Then when you put the top up and cruise at 70 it is quiet inside. Great feature but I couldn't take the drone of no mufflers at 70 mph for an hour or two.

I am going to get an x pipe put on and remove both silencers and put the factory rear muffler back on and see how I like the sound of that
I wish there was some way for us to hear that....

not yet, the code hasnt come back yet. I did however put the stock muffler back on, and deleted the valves in it. It back to sounding just how I like it, albeit a bit loud for the average persons taste probably. This is just a temp fix until I get the cash together to do a Velocity Performance cat back system.

Are you still running the cat delete? And the codes have not come back?

How are the codes not coming back? I still haven't put my HFCs on but plan to do so this week.

I drove the car around 200 miles this weekend and still no CEL. In Torque it lists a 'historic fault' but has not yet illuminated the CEL. Where did you get your HFC's from Max?

Are yours a direct fit or is that something you fabricated? And how far downstream are the sensors?

they were fabricated and made identical to the original cats. I have an appointment on Thursday at my exhaust shop where he will remove the current bungs and move them as far downstream as the sensor wires allow and install also the bigdaddiesgarage mini cats. Where are yours placed?

I have the same cats as Schwabe, which look great and I can't wait to get them mounted. I'm still interested in how you are avoiding error codes with no cats at all.

Im working on putting up some pics, having some technical difficulties with photobucket at the moment. Can you guys post pics of your custom cats?

Also, I located my sensors after the first silencer box in the factory exhaust. I bought the bigdaddies 90 degree CEL fixers but havent installed them yet, as I havent needed to yet. If the codes come back I will install them, and if they come back again after those I will buy the minicats and use both. But so far, so good. I do want to put some sort of cats back on though, both to quiet it down and because it just seems like it runs better with some backpressure. I still am down about 1 psi of boost as compared to with the factory cats.

There are no pre-silencers on my XKR-S, nothing between the cats and the rear muffler.

Well evidently when they built your cats they didn't make a jig or do a scan or anything. So they can't make em for me unless I bring the car in. That's a bit of a drive......

Correct they only made two sets for me on my car. Sorry I missed your PM earlier, I was on my family 4th of July vacation.
