Default catalytic converter

I have a 2008 XKR Portfolio with 36,000 miles. I got a code for the rt side cataclytic converter. The Dealer said the 2nd converter is bad and it will cost $1,800 to fix. I know others have upgraded the exhaust system for proformance upgrade for about $4,000. Does anyone know if that includes the cataclytic converter. And if yes which system would you recomend.
Thanks
P.S. The A-H's detailed the car then did the oil change and left grease all over the drivers ivory seat and when I drove the car in a few days I found out to late they didn't tighten the oil filter and it left oil all over the bottom of the garage floor and a big stripe from my drive down the street. I had to jack up the car and take the cover off and tighten it myself in 37 degree temps. Their response is bring in your car and we will clean up the bottom. My Lincoln dealer comes and picks up and drops off my car for anything. Jag needs to learn how to treat customers.

It sounds like you need a new dealer. Report your situation with the dealer to Jaguar NA. They want to know about things like you have described.

I'm finalizing a Race set of 200-cell and a 300 cell EPA certified cat upgrades for XK and XKR this week.
See this thread:

I'll have finalized photos up this week and pricing.

I'll have them test fitted and welded up shortly. Tacked everything together. All will be tig welded and optional coated. All stainless construction. I'll do some weight comparisons as I noticed they were quite lighter.

I will have 2 Cat options: one with Race spec 200-cell and one Race spec 300-cell that EPA certified in 49-states and no cell light.
