Default Cell phone pairing issues

Hello all from Montreal here
when I put the car in pairing mode it won’t want to search for new phone. I mean I literally press search and it doesn’t turn turquoise it does not search. And my iPhone 13 won’t see the car. Then the magic begins. I unplugged the battery for 5 minutes. Did the procedure again. And it was all different. First it showed the previous phone paired from previous owner. I deleted it. I paired my phone just like it should and made calls for a couple minutes it was all good. Turned off the car went back in it and phone was forgotten and was unable to pair it again. Proof it’s a jaguar issue and not phone issue my phone still has the jag programmed in it but the car went back to not see the phone and not want to pair anything new.
batterie is new from last year apparently. Any idea on what it is ? I have the proof it can work it just doesn’t last

I know nothing of your car. And it may be over 15 years old. Moreover, the bluetooth module is not manufactured by Jaguar.
Lastly, all electrical pinpoint tests start with confirmation of battery health.

Cheers!

Had the same symptoms; car won't recognise / find 'phone (readout on Infotainment screen). I disconnected and removed the 'phone module, opened outer shell, poked around inside, and reassembled. Worked again for a day, then failed again. Leaning towards an intermittent, either in power circuit or a touchy fibre connexion. Not (yet...) annoying, can live without, but my OCD about things not working is kicking in...

Here's what mine does, get in and it connects seamlessly, works great then I hop out for a minute, and on restart I get a "dock device" message, and it may reconnect. Sometimes it has connected, activated spotify and is playing before I get the door shut. In the words of Manolo Ribera, "It's not so bad, it could be worse"

Will my Smartphone connect with the Bluetooth in my Jaguar?
