Default Central front and rear jacking points?

hi all. I will be installing my h&r wheel spacers today and need to know the correct jacking points to use. I assume it's the crossmembers (subframe), but don't like to assume. any help would be appreciated. tnx.

Why central? If I'm working on the car and need to take a wheel off I just jack up using the standard ones at front and rear of either side. You'll only need one wheel off the ground at a time to install spacers.

Standard jacking points are marked with little arrows/triangles in the side sills.

you are right, but I never like lifting the front of cars with all that weight from one corner. it seems like a **** ton of stress and potential flex. plus, central is a lot less work for me. I move the jack twice instead of 4 times lol.

Just use the jack points . If you haven't done so yet take a look at the youtube video on how the XK is built and it will give you a perspective on where not to jack up the car.

I think you're worrying about nothing, if it wasn't safe to jack the car up at the sides they wouldn't put jacking points there. There's nothing forward of the front wheels that's strong enough really to jack on and I wouldn't fancy using anything at the rear that was close enough to get a trolley jack under.

For the 5 minutes per corner it's going to take you, it's really not that big a deal to do it properly, is it?

These are the only acceptable positions for raising the vehicle. Placing a trolley jack under any other area can cause damage to the vehicle.

Use a wooden block between the jack and the vehicle.
