Check engine light after both engine air filter change?
I have no problems but was wondering if anyone experienced a check engine light after they replaced both their engine air cleaners on a 2010-2015 XK/XKRs? I'm getting both of mine changed tomorrow after 20,000 miles and 11 years. I haven't had the experience but I've read about it. I'll assume it may happen while changing very dirty air filters that disrupt the MAF. Hoping I don't have any issues.

The key is to use a matched pair of engine air filters that are packaged from the factory as a set of two. They're sequential from the same production run, which minimizes any difference in flow rates that could trigger a CEL.
Don't worry the air filters are supplied by your Jaguar dealer or independent technician. Any CEL is their problem, not yours if they didn't use a matched set of filters.

I didn't realize that you raised the same issue last April when you ordered a pair of Mahle air filters. You sure do worry a lot.

As the OP, I had the oil and the 2 engine air filters replaced yesterday with OEM Jaguar filters. After 20,000 miles, the original Jaguar filters showed almost no dirt, but at least I now know they are new.
