I've got a driver's door (LHD) that won't lock and so I wanted to remove the lock mechanism and actuator to examine it and replace the entire thing if needed. I followed the workshop manual and got everything removed (door lock cylinder, interior door panel, inner silver steel panel) but the actuator and lock machinsm cannot be jiggled out due to the window mechanism. The workshop manual jumps apparently to drilling out two rivets to separate the actuator from the lock mechanism.

What am I missing?
