Default Convertible Top - No Chimes

Hi Guys:

Still going through all the features of my new (to me) 2012 XKR Convertible.

The manual says that I should hear chimes when operating the top but I do not!

The top operates flawlessly but no chimes heard when starting or finishing, in both directions. I know I am holding the up/down switch long enough.

Ideas on what could be wrong and possible fixes, please.

Thanks, so much.

Roger

Roger,

I recommend the convertible top remote control module invented by Forum member WhiteXKR, a.k.a. Steve, the Jag Wrangler. It's what the factory forgot.

I installed it myself.

I have an ‘07 vert. The chimes are barely audible. Any background noise or audio playing and you may miss it.

My ‘ding’ is quite soft, I do have to listen for it.

Uh-oh, I wasn’t thinking clearly when I wrote that, I need to be careful where I use my ‘ding’.

Very faint chime. Noise not connected to any ding activities
