With your suggestion, I found XKR-S with the 2-tone plinth as well as some white, red & black cars but a silver R with full body colored and some body colored & chrome accent. Hmmmm.

My favorite is the red with black accent (and it ties to the red tail lights) but just fear it may be TOO cartoonish. Based on the black front grille with red growler, I really like the red/black contrast.

I like the look of the red on the hood vents/grill/center caps but, I would stop there. Neither the back or the sides look quite right imho.

I like the options you presented.
I am playing around with come real tail light conceprs also..........so nice to see your thoughts.
OK.....my biggest peeve with the rear of my 2007 XK coupe (indigo blue) is the inboard back up light assemblies. They look totally tacked on and came right off a Hyundai.
I tried an experiment by plastidipping the ENTIRE module including back up light, so it is totally black. In addition, I blacked out the 3rd brake light on spoiler except for the area of the LED's. I laso blacked out the horizontal chrome bar. It looked really good and as long as you are photoshopping your car, try this and let me know waht you think.
Over the weekend I ordered some premium touch up paint which matched perfectly and am doing the above mentioned ideas in body color indigo bleu. Yhe back up lights are done and it looks stunning. As soon as better light I will post some pics.....Am also playing with the wrap around portion of the tail lights and BIG impeovement in looks.....in my opinion.
Goal is to reduce the look of chrome clutter without going the black out route.....and keeping it mainly legal. Back up light will be incorporated into the license plate frame (led), so should be good to go.
Was inspired by the post on the headlight shell painting thread on this forum......may try that also.

I dunno about the lights, but I thought the chrome strip was too much. Just after I got the car, I took it to a body shop and had them paint most of it to body color. Here's a couple of pics. I'm glad I dulled that down in the back for sure.

Looks great.
Do you know if the strip is metal or plastic? I have not taken it off yet.

that was my guess also........
Sounds like a good project for the weekend.
Considering filling in the letters and maybe going with some jaguar lettering from a different/vintage model......a million thoughts and options.
Easy enough to hold the part up there and see if you like it. Not like commiting to a body kit!!!!!!!!!!!!!
