That explains the non stainless Phillips head non matching screws through the scoop into the bonnet.

Why do you say the interior was modified? Am I missing something in the image you posted?
Look below the window sill, a chromed piece of plastic trim has been glued to the inner door panel. I didn't catch it at first, but did on further reflection.
That must be where the air from the hood scoop comes out!
If you're talking about 'to the right' when looking at the image, I think you're seeing the leather trim on the side of the console, where it angles up to meet the side of the center stack.

Looking at the enlarged thumbnail from my phone there appeared to be a dark fuzzy blob shape to the right of the shift knob. After getting home, I looked at that thumbnail from my PCs large screen and clearly saw that the blob was actually the ash tray.
