Default Disconnect navigation system

I have noticed that the navigator of my xk is constantly locating the position of the car.
Taking into account this detail I think that perhaps this circumstance could be taken advantage of to be able to locate the car with some type of application in the mobile because if that cannot be done, why the hell do we need it to be constantly working?
If it cannot be used as a locator .... Does anyone know how to disconnect it?

Are you talking about the navigation unit? If so, eject the disk, unplug the fiber optic line and install a bypass loop on to the fiber optic line. Leave the Navigation power plugged in.

So of the 2 alternatives that I present, we rule out being able to use it as a locator?

My two cents, no. The system is tied to the Nav unit using proprietary satellites that you cannot link to your phone (there's no app for that.) Your phone has all of that already. I don't see the value. Maybe I'm just not understanding what you're trying to accomplish though.

The GPS only acts monodirectional. It doesn't transmit a signal, only receive. Therefore, worthless as a locator.

gps trackers are so cheap now...
of course I’m in denial and would never attest to not remembering where I parked the car... so I don’t need one.

I know that GPS locators are cheap, although I would not put it to remember where to park the car, rather it would be useful in case it was stolen. Now, I consider that from the moment I start the car until I stop it again there are many functions that I have not used, lights, fog lights, windshield wipers, the radio or even the cigarette lighter.
So why does the gps stay on continuously without my requesting it and without being useful to be able to use it as a locator?
Imagine that every time we start the car, all the lights, windshield wipers, the radio etc. turn on.
It would be crazy
I can not understand that cars are manufactured with such high battery consumptions due to the fact that just by starting energy consumers start up waiting for you to use them.
