Comparing values for 2015 XKR models........I happened to see a beautiful black 2015 XKR with 26,000 miles listed at a South Florida Jaguar dealer for $38,000. A few days later it was gone. Boy have our cars sunken in value so quickly! Let’s just drive and enjoy them!
I may have seen that one also, but it was a Salvage title. Can't say for definite it was the same car, but it was a black 2015 for super cheap.

. I can’t confirm we are talking about the same car but I would be hesitant to think that an authorized Jaguar dealership would be retailing salvage titled cars. But who knows?
Our cars really need the hood louvers, the underhood temps are havoc causing in the longrun
As I mentioned on another thread I liked louvers on the GT hood as well as these which I assume are the same. It brings me back to my 66 XKE. If I could find an affordable bonnet I would get it and install it. I don't think I could find anyone round here who could modify my existing bonnet.

When things are slower for me, I will get one of the guys at our shop to draw something out.
The easiest way to louvers would be buy a used Final Fifty hood, assuming they dont sell a new one unless you have a vin number

I seemed to have read somewhere that the 1st XKE's had the lovers welded into the bonnet until they finally made a stamping to do it directly to the bonnet. I don't know how the FF was done so it would be interesting to see if it was stamped or a welded set of louvers.
Graham - i tend to agree with what you are saying here. According to the VINs there were just 56,794 XKs and XKRs produced from 2006 to 2014 which would mean to say that about 6310 vehicles were produced on average in each of the nine year model run. I wonder what their annual break even point was.
Similar numbers for the BMW 635, 1976-1989 86K, half of which came stateside.
