I wonder if car prices are coming back down to earth in general. Will see what this one sells for:

Oops, apologies. I thought this was another BaT thread. I selected the links then got lost in thought.

VIN: SAJWA4GC9FMB56400

Convertible, 7K miles, sold on BAT April 2, 2022 for $76,000, turns up 6 days later on a dealer web site (Jaguar Land Rover Peoria), trying to flip it for $89,990.
Guess I should have bid higher…

Default This car is now in Oregon

I acquired this one. I had been little used and poorly stored. The tires were rotten, most plastic components under the hood had to be replaced. The rear seal has a small leak but am just watching it for now. I drive it almost daily and it is a dream.

Scrolling through the pics:

Ya have to wonder whether a buyer at this price would have second thoughts about the sale if they knew Jag might not be servicing this down the road.

The Final Fifty was a model limited to 25 hard tops and 25 convertibles for the USA market and they were produced not in sequence.

Not is sequence means not ACTUALLY the final fifty then, I'd say. Just another marketing ploy.

So sad.
A few weeks ago, I stumbled across a listing for a Final Fifty convertible for only $38,000. Used the website contact form to tell the seller I was interested. Got a response back yesterday, with an apology for the slow response, having been hospitalized. I asked for more info and pictures.
Received those today, and the VIN seemed familiar. Turns out it was this same car I had bid on on BaT last year, and the photos sent to me were lifted from the BaT listing. Damn scammers!
Now I checked the web site, and see it has a low trust value (autoads24.com).
These people should get real jobs, and stop messing with us ‘normal’ folks.

Default On my second Final Fifty Convertible

Hello everyone,

I am a huge "R" fan, since they introduced the V8 Supercharged R in 1998 I have owned 23 between the XJR and XKR.
I currently own three Jag's;
  • F-Pace daily driver with a new SVR on order
  • 2014 XKR convertible with 28k miles
  • 2015 XKR convertible Final Fifty with 9,762 miles
I am fortunate to have found the Final Fifty after having sold my first one with 11k miles on it! I will look up VIN's of both for the purpose of this thread.

Each of you are the first to know that I am selling each of my current three, including the Final Fifty....I will keep you updated.

All my best, Dave

Default Would like photos of your XKR-S GT

Hi,
This is Steve in Denver. I am working on a book about the 2007-2015 XK series and, as your GT is super rare, any chance of having you take some photos for me?
Cell phone photos are fine,

Is anybody able to confirm if the separate hand / park brake caliper itself is mechanical and actuated via motor and cable like the rest of the XK's or does it have an electrical TRW motor like the F-type?

Details on the park brake caliper are very scarce.

thanks

You replied in a different thread than where that quote came from (2014 v. 2015); hedley doesn't HAVE a GT, merely asking a question about one; hedley hasn't been active for four years so he probably won't reply regardless.

OK Thanks CJ. When I am a bit further along in my project, I will do a posting asking for pictures.
