Thanks for reading!
I would have liked to have done a video, I thought about it too late and sadly it is now after the fact :-(
The main part is that from the hunch I had, it IS possible to pull a new hose using the old hose.
I hope others can read this and employ this, and as always I am always happy to answer their questions!
You can get almost all the old SC oil out with an oil syringe but you do have to wrestle a thin plastic hose around the SC vanes - a bit fiddly but not impossible.
The breaker bar on that SC plug made me nervous; anything more than 40 ft/lbs looks like it would shear the mounting bolts! The ole "love tap" technique is something that is invaluable and I used for years with all the motorcycle restorations I used to do!
I got quite a lot of sc fluid out, moreso than using a syringe I think - it just took a long time as I was fighting gravity.
Now, this valley hose did you pull a new pipe through the old one with guitar wire? Sorry if I'm totally misreading this.. how can you fit another hose into the existing one? How did you remove the old broken hose...?!
Can you use these to pull a new pipe through the old one? Cut out the end near the SC / bonnet side and jab these rods into the old pipe until they exit at the other end? They are flexible..

Short video to explain the push / pull through technique
I hope this explains how this works - very simple.
The hardest thing was finding the best materials to feed the rope through the old and new hose.
You start by feeding the rope from the back EGR end of the OLD hose through to the front (where you have already cut off the reducing coupler). Then you continue to feed the rope through the NEW hose from the rear EGR end through to the front reducing coupler. Then you attach the washer at that end.
You then pull the new hos into position by pulling on the rope coming out of the OLD hose from the REAR of the engine.
Good idea to coat the new hose with Silicon lubricant so that it slides into place easily.
Yes I guess you can. I do have a set of these rods that I use for electrical work.
I did not try them, but I suspect they may be tough negotiating the tighter pends in the pipe.
I could try to feed mine through my old pipe and let you know ;-)
Just to be clear... This valley hose you are trying to replace. Is this the only one under the supercharger? There's a pile of hoses that need replacing and if more need to be done that the SC is infringing then it's gotta get removed anyway?
However if it's just this hose that's difficult then I guess it's happy days and you can replace all the others.. probably with difficulty but without removing the SC itself?
I think I understand what's happening here with this hose...
I have these hoses as part of a huge haul of parts last year ... fortunately they are silicone

Aside from the hose in this fix where are the other two hoses located? I think one more is also under the SC probably the return hose on the other side?
