Driver's seat moves when braking hard

Default Driver's seat moves when braking hard

This is at least a bit irritating/cheap. With hard acceleration or braking, the seat moves a bit. Something is loose, but what? I cannot hear any strange sounds.

Did you check the mounting bolts?
Moves how? The back moves independent of the bottom? The bottom moves independent of the back? Both move? The back twists? The entire thing twists?????
NEED INFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whew Ok. The bottom slides a bit forward when I brake, the rest of the seat follows of course. Something wrong in the bottom. And it really _slides_, perhaps half an inch or less. Still feels unsecure.

Yeah, mine does too. Kind of a pop / click but only on breaking when my weight against the back goes neutral. It started when I lifted a front a little to fit me better. Everything's still tight otherwise.

Sounds like the fore-aft linkage/gears/whatever is either worn or out of alignment. Seat needs to come out then shoved around while looking underneath it for any give.

My XK did that everything looked to be in order. Had my indy look at it a few times. Sometimes my Aston does it too. Annoying, but good luck ever figuring it out. Thought I was crazy... Guess not.
