I was just kidding, but it wouldn't be the first time Aston has borrowed styling cues from a Mustang.
Here's an older Vantage.

So here is the 1975 Aston Martin V8 Vantage that the newer limited production cars are paying homage to. Has nothing to do with any Ford vehicles.




And the 1970 Aston Martin DBS GT Prototype racing car. Also nothing to do with a Ford vehicle.

Saw DB11 in San Antonio yesterday, driving the speed limit on Hyw 281, everyone else drives speedlimit+15 mph so it looked like the Aston was strutting it's great looks rather than performance.
Boy it looked great, white pearl color!
