So changing the coupler solved the 430 code, i have the same code but my car drives fine. I would have thought if the coupler was split or disintegrated it would throw a vacuum code and idle high. MIght try the old butane torch trick around it to see for leaks.

I didn't reset the battery because I didn't have time, but I did reset the codes. Today after driving around town for couple of miles, CEL did eventually pop out with cat error codes P0430 and 'pending' P0420), without MAF related. Maybe I did fry them after all, driving around with air intake leak...

Have you had an injector problem in the past? An intake leak would lean the system, and cat problems usually come from too much fuel. I'd think still possible though.
My mechanic recommended CRC Catalytic Converter Cleaner, he said it works about 50% percent of the time but it's better than the other brands.
Maybe try some of that before you get crazy on other stuff?

No I didn't, but then I own the car for less than a year. I tried injector cleaner last week, had the same logic regarding lean fuel trim. Noticed slight improvement in throttle response, but it's hard to tell whether is that placebo or not.
i could try with that cleaner too, before buying new cats. Is the full name 'CRC - Guaranteed To Pass'?

Like I said... you will probably have to replace your CATs soon due to the lean condition.

Good news is ... now you can get some hi flow cats and a x pipe to really let her rip!!

Or you can just ignore the codes like i've been doing LOL
