External Lighting Issue
Hi
I hope I can find some help here with a lighting issue I have on my 2007 XK convertible.
During a journey home a couple of days ago I noticed the headlight warning lamp begin to flash, followed by message warnings saying my indicator lamp and brake lamp had failed.
Sure enough none of them were working. I replaced the headlight lamp, brake lamp and front indicator lamp but they still failed to function.
There seems to be an issue only affecting the RH side lighting circuit of the car (drivers side in the UK).
I'm hoping that someone here has experienced a similar problem or has any ideas of what to do next. I look forward to reading anything you can suggest.
Phil

Exterior lighting on left and right sides are on common fuses and are controlled by the computers in the central and auxiliary junction boxes.
It is possible one or more computers have crashed. Try disconecting the negative terminal of the battery for 10-15 seconds and then reconnecting it.
If that does not restore normal operation you need to get the fault codes read. For these types of codes, this needs to be done by the dealer or a Jag independent who has the proper equipment.
AutoEnginuity also sell a tool that can read these codes...but this is a $500 investment.
