Default Finally got my first Jaguar

After looking for a while, I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first Jaguar. A 2013, Polaris white Jaguar XKR coupe. Love the car and how it drives. Compared to my other toys (2012 Porsche 911, 2013 Mercedes SL550 and 2013 BMW M5) which I love, this car is in a league of its own.

I found many dealers willing to deal on the XKs, but XKR coupes were slim picking in northern California. I ended up getting mine from Haron Jaguar in Fresno, Ca. Easy to work with over email and they made the delivery process seamless. Drove down yesterday and picked it up. Will post pictures soon.

You have all those cars currently? You could do your own R&T comparison review! Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the site from a fellow Haron customer... just picked mine up two weeks ago! Great dealership sales experience.

Love the XKR in white. I checked out & test drove a used 2012 XKR down there at RoadSport; that's what really sold me on these cars: so gorgeous.

Congratulation for the purchase. Having lived in the Bay Area for a long time, I had no idea that there was a dealership in Fresno. Good to know. I purchased and serviced my last two Jags at San Jose British Motors. Found them to be good to deal with.

I also tested the 2012 XKR at RoadSport and that made me want one. Andy Nestor my sales rep at Haron mentioned that another bay area guy bought the XKRS they had. Congrats on your purchase.

RoadSport needs to send Haron an invoice for their demo work! They're very nice guys, and I was sorry not to be able to purchase from them. I did ask them to see if they could find what I was looking for, though, so they had a chance...

I notice a pattern here - most of the UK members have '06-'09 4.2s, while most of the US ones have '09-'13 5.0s and a fleet of other tasty stuff.

I clearly live on the wrong side of the pond…

My brother spent about 15 years living and working in the UK, and complained about the same thing, and eventually moved to the US last year. Europe does have a better selection of interesting cars.

Nice. White always looks sweet in the sunshine state. I'd like to hear your review of your other cars compared to your new ride. Before buying my second XKR I cross shopped the GT-R, Porsche 911 turbo, Audi R8 and a Maserati MC. Every time I get in my XKR it puts a silly grin on my face.

You'll find the members on this forum very helpful and quick to share their experiences, good and bad. I must say, overall, my Jaguar ownership experience has been outstanding.

I find the XKR is a great performance car for the street at a good price.

How do you like your M5? I may be interested in picking up one down the road as my kids get older. How would you compare the preformance of the Xkr to the m5?
Enjoy your Xkr- love the white- I have a white RS- best color IMHO.

Looks great.......didn't think I'd like the white, but photos look very good. Enjoy the new ride.

I love the M5. It is my version of a family car. The Jaguar XKR is a 2 dour version of it with sleeker looks.

I had 10 jaguars since 1999 and for me Haron jaguar is one of the best dealership there. Pierre

Looks great. White was one of the colors I had in mind for a used purchase, but when our used car choices are fairly limited (Coupes) getting the right color/interior combo as well as the "right" miles and condition can become tricky. However, with patience the right car always comes along. It's just a matter of settling somewhat. I'm looking at Liquid Silver, White, and one of the darker greys with only a charcoal interior. Good luck with your beauty!!!!

Thanks. I plan to get the clear front markers so that the front has a cleaner look. Otherwise I think Jaguar did a great job creating a sleek profile to the car. I found a few dealers in the US listing the parts (C2P22646, and C2P22648), but need to confirm they can get it. Good luck on your search.
