Default First day out of the garage since snow fall

Hello mates, beautiful sunny day here in PA, USA. Mid 30’s F, and with all the recent rain no salt on the roads. YAY
My only complaint is this: the car will not go slower then 90 MPH! I try to keep it under 70 but it doesn’t become fun until 90+. Man I love my XKR. But she is gonna get me in trouble

My first day out was yesterday. Sunny, 55 degrees and no snow anywhere. Salt has been gone for a couple weeks also. YAY! I didn't make it up to 90 mph as I stuck to the neighborhood roads on the way to Home Depot for a light switch. Kept it under 60!

I got a finger for all of you...

I had to park it outside for a day Sunday to do some work on the winter car. Still stuck in the driveway here in West Michigan. Yay polar vortex.

HA! That's what you get!
I lived in Duluth for the first nineteen years of my life. Absolutely STOKED when I finally got out of there, and I hate going back even to visit. ALL of MN. Horrible place. The US should sell it to Canada.

Car covered in salt spray isn't that bad. The salt streaks really show off how well the aero works. The stuff off the front tires tracks up over the haunches to the rear spoiler. I'll get some pictures the next time mine gets covered. Currently it's almost clean.

BTW, my car spends more running minutes above 80 mph than below it.

Mine is up for the rest of the winter I'm afraid. March will probably dump a ton of snow on us. Supposed to snow tomorrow into the next day. I wish I could move away from this mess.

Awe Com'n buddy. Don't hold back your feelings like that. You'll clog your arteries that way.

Even here in south Germany, we have gone from cold and icy to surprisingly warm and sunny (15-17 deg C. or so peaks). Just nice to be able to take the XKR out and it staying fairly clean

Coming from WI, one of my favorite jokes is "Do you know why the winds blow so hard in North Dakota? Because Minnesota sucks."

And yes this joke can be transformed for just about any place, but it works so well for that combo.

And while I know this is the wrong forum, there are a couple of x100 XKR down just north of Milwaukee for sale, that are tempting to go look at. But I have neither the time now (2 hour drive each way), or the desire to take them out on the roads with the current weather. So they will wait, or there will be other XK's out there once the roads are salt free and I do have the time.

I know this thread is now old and lost its luster, but I just wanted to say I had another awesome day of driving as the weather cooperated again today. I took a photo of the issue I’m having and then realized the problem. Most of the cars/trucks/SUV we drive daily have speedometers with 75-80 mph at the 12 o’clock position unlike our XK’s Which is 90 mph. Which is why I can’t drive 55 !!

Eyes on the road buddy! lol

The problem with these cars is like you said, plus it's just too damn easy to get to 90. That's the first thing I noticed when I got mine. Pull out on the highway normally, look down, 90mph! ****!

Your wood dash looks like mine, but your screen name says 10XKR, so I decided to check your Personal Profile. Yep, a 2010 XKR but ...

90mph? Cops just like to have fun!
